TCU Horned Frogs Tickets

Back With a vengeance

The TCU Horned Frogs know they have plenty to overcome in 2015. The biggest obstacle may be in the minds of the old codgers mired in the past, refusing to let the Horned Frogs take their rightful place in the College Football Playoffs.  After an 11-1 season and a top rank in the Big 12, TCU found itself with a berth in the Peach Bowl, where they proceeded to dismember Ole Miss 42-3.  Read More...

Being relegated to the also rans didn’t sit well in the stomachs of the Horned Frogs. The problem is, to break through and be able to demand a shot at winning a national championship means TCU will have to be perfect. They could well be perfect in 2015.

Trevone Boykin returns with a year in the offensive system of Doug Meacham and Sonny Cumbie, a rare system of dual offensive coordinators that is working well. It’s working really well for Boykin. As a junior his first season in the system, Boykin threw for 3,900 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, he scrambled for 700 yards. His senior season could well be even better as Aaron Green assumes primary running back duties. TCU also returns a very successful pair of receivers in Kolby Listenbee and Josh Doctson.

Defensively, the Horned Frogs may need a few weeks to get up to speed. A pair of new linebackers in freshman Mike Freeze and junior Sammy Douglas will have gain some real game experience before they reach their potential. TCU is set with Ranthony Texada at one cornerback spot and returning safety Derrick Kindred is solid.

Overall, the Horned Frogs will be returning 15 starters from last season’s 12-1 team, mostly on an offense that seemed unstoppable at times. TCU  is very capable of forcing themselves into the College Football Playoffs simply by winning out the season. Early results, while the defense rounds into shape, will be crucial.

The schedule opens with Minnesota  and ends with a matchup against the Baylor Bears. In between, the schedule is going to feature SMU, Texas Tech, Kansas, and on Nov. 21st, an away game with the Oklahoma Sooners. TCU Horned Frog tickets are going to be a blast in 2015 as this scorned team sets out to prove they belong not only in the conversation, but in the College Football Playoffs.
