2015 Oakland Raiders Tickets

The Oakland Raiders head into the 2015 NFL season with some real reasons to believe they are on the rise, that finally their franchise is assembling the pieces to drag themselves out of the cellar of the AFC West. It won’t be easy. After all, the Raiders are talking about whipping the Broncos and Chargers and the ascending Chiefs. That’s a tall order but maybe, just maybe, Oakland is on the right track. Here’s why:...

1) Derek Carr – How did this happen? After going through a plethora of free agents and promising rookies, Derek Carr arrives with a good head on his shoulders and a calm competence that inspires his teammates. Carr should be even better in 2015 and the raiders will be the better for it.

2) Michael Crabtree – While he never lived up to his billing in San Francisco, Crabtree is a definite upgrade to the wideout group.

3) Amari Cooper – The wideout from Alabama promises to be an immediate starter and a dangerous receiving threat that Derek Carr needs to stretch defense.

4) Latavius Murray – Murray is the most promising runner in the group though Trent Richardson will get a chance to finally make his mark.

5) Khalil Mack – Mack has come a long way and should be better in 2015, fulfilling his promise as a run stopper and pass rusher.

The 2015 Oakland raiders may be in rebuild mode but the rebuilding is going well. It’s probably a stretch to think they can contend for a playoff spot, but getting to 6-10 or (gasp) 8-8 would be a high watermark for the Oakland Raiders.

Coliseum Carnival

Say what you like the Oakland Raiders still bring in the most eclectic crowd in the NFL. Oakland Coliseum can be a nasty place for a visiting team. Banking a win or two early in the season could set the tone for the rest of 2015. The AFC West title has long eluded Oakland and just having some say in who gets the crown would be a major step up for the Raiders. Divisional games with the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, and the San Diego Chargers should top your Raiders tickets list. But also be on the scout for Raiders tickets when the Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, and Indianapolis Colts come to Oakland Coliseum.

Oakland Raiders Tickets – Battle for Respectability

How many years has it been since Oakland Raiders tickets lived up to the myth? Not since Rich Gannon led the raiders to a Super Bowl. Since then it’s been a seemingly endless trip of blunders, blown draft picks, and Al Davis induced myopia. The fans in Raiders Nation have held fast though, making the pilgrimage to Oakland Coliseum only to meet the same fate as a moth drawn to a flame. But now the worm has turned. The Oakland Raiders seem to coming to their senses, ditching the mistakes of the past, and coming to terms with the new NFL while retaining the best parts of Raiders tradition. Let’s take a look at what 2010 Oakland Raiders tickets are ready to dish out.

The 2010 Oakland Raiders – Meet the New Boss

The biggest news to come out of the Oakland Raiders camp in 2010 is the dumping of quarterback Jamarcus Russell. Long an Al Davis project, the attitude and work ethic Russell never possessed finally became too much. But the Raiders didn’t just go blindly into a Russell-less life. A trade for former Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell , giving up only a 4th Round pick, has now given the Oakland Raiders a hard working, competent NFL caliber quarterback, one who is as anxious to prove himself as the Raiders are to climb the NFL ladder Back to respectability.

Jason Campbell is no stranger to adversity and new beginnings. In his NFL career he’s been under the tutelage of a new offensive coordinator every year in the league. Campbell will now work under Hue Jackson, the O-coordinator who helped form both Carson Palmer and Joe Flacco into upper tier NFL quarterbacks. While a training camp competition will give both Bruce Charlie Frye and Bruce Gradowski a chance to compete there’s little doubt that Campbell will be under center when the season starts.

As much as the Raiders were criticized for selecting Darrius Heward-Bay, there’s little doubt that the QB issues affected his development. The feeling around the Raiders is that both Heyward-Bay and Louis Murphy could blossom in 2010 giving the Oakland raiders a more potent offensive attack. Questions in the ground game will be answered in training camp as Michael Bush and Darren McFadden battle it out for the starting job. Both bring something different to the table. Bush is more of a pounder and probably more durable. McFadden is smaller, more explosive, and more likely to bust open the big play. Both will get plenty of carries and the situation could change as the season goes on.
