The 2007-08 season is no different. The Clippers were looking forward to improving on a 40 win season that had them thinking playoffs. The luxury of 1st Round pick Al Thornton had everyone in LA feeling good and even entertaining thoughts of replacing the Lakers as LA’s darling.

 

The feel-good bubble popped along with the Achilles tendon of forward Elton Brand. Losing your scoring leader has a way of dampening your spirits. A look t the Clippers roster does lend itself to some optimism though. This is a team that’s not far removed from a playoff appearance two years ago. Someone needs to step up and that someone is very likely to be Corey Magette.
