Just One More Step
2018 Indianapolis Colts tickets are ready to bring another Super Bowl to Colts fans. All the pieces appear to be in place, the quarterback is top notch, the offense hums, and the defense is good enough to keep opponents working to keep up. It’s been a story of steady progress in Indianapolis but 2018 could very well be the breakthrough season.
The Offense
This unit runs through one of the best young quarterbacks in the game in Andrew Luck. Since taking over for the Colts, Luck has gotten better each season and now he finally has a running back that defense should fear. In 2014, Luck passed for 4,761 yards working behind an average offensive line and with a middling stable of running backs to keep defense honest. Both of those situations should change in the 2015 NFL season.
In one of the bigger moves in free agency, Indianapolis brought in workhorse Frank Gore to carry the rock. Gore is getting older but still has plenty left to give. He’s been reliable, productive, and tough to tackle. While he probably won’t see as many carries as he has in the past, Frank Gore could be the answer to the Colts running game for the next two or three seasons.
Of course, with Andrew Luck under center the Colts are a passing team. T.Y. Hilton becomes the #1 receiver in 2015 as Indianapolis says goodbye to Reggie Wayne. The Colts brought in former Texan Andre Johnson to fill out a group that includes the promising Donte Moncrief and #1 Draft choice Philip Dorsett, the speedster out of Miami (FL).
The Defense
Here’s where it gets chancy for the Indianapolis Colts. Defensive Coordinator Greg Manusky wants to rush the passer. That’s fine, but to do that you have to stop the run first. Indianapolis struggled against good running teams in 2014, limiting the pass rush. The defensive line must get better, which means more production out of players like Josh Chapman, newcomer Kendall Langford, and Arthur Jones. Getting the most out of their front line players is essential to the Colts success against the run.
The linebacker group will be solid if Robert Mathis comes back from injury and Jonathan Newsome continues to develop. In the secondary, the Colts have Vontae Davis at cornerback, a Pro Bowler who plays shut down football. Greg Toler lines up across the field and Darius Butler has been effective at the nickel slot. Another Pro Bowl player lines up at safety in Mike Adams, so Indy is looking good if things work out up front.
The Gut Check
Simply put, it’s time for Indianapolis Colts tickets to pay off. Four playoff seasons, each better than the last, is enough to whet the appetite of any NFL fan. But, it has to come together at some point and 2015 is as good a time as any for Colts tickets to make things happen in the biggest way of all, an AFC Championship and a Super Bowl slot.
2015 Indianapolis Colts Tickets – Class of the AFC South
Indianapolis Colts tickets are the class of the AFC South and possibly the entire NFL. The Colts have been on a winning run since Peyton Manning began his Hall of fame career. Indianapolis hasn’t missed the NFL Playoffs in eight years and they’ve been putting together double digit winning season for almost a decade. In the meantime Peyton Manning has been NFL MVP four times and he’s made careers for more than one NFL wide receiver. The Colts have been to the Super Bowl twice and brought home the Lombardi Trophy to Lucas Oil Stadium once. It looks like there’s going to be plenty more success in the future. The winning formula is in place in Indianapolis, and as long as Manning stays upright the Colts will be playoff contenders. Winning the Super Bowl is always a possibility for the Colts and the 2015 NFL season is no exception. The Colts will be facing some heavy competition in the AFC South from the Houston Texans and a Tennessee Titans team that finished strong. Get geared up for another winning run with Indianapolis Colts tickets.
2010 Indianapolis Colts Tickets – The Offense
The Colts have undergone some changes for 2010. New Offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen won’t change much on the Colts offense. Rely on Manning picking apart defenses with quick passes and exploiting secondaries with the deep pass. What you might see is the Colts making a commitment to being able to run the ball. This will probably take the form of a new blocking scheme and better offensive line play than a personnel change. Joseph Addai has proven himself a reliable runner and pass receiver and will continue to flourish in the system while Donald Brown brings a nice change of pace and a little more power and speed.
In the passing game Reggie Wayne is the undisputed king of receivers, delivering six straight 1,000 yard seasons. A big play chemistry with Peyton Manning makes Wayne a threat from anywhere on the field. But it’s his workmanlike attitude and ability to move the chains that makes him special. A full year under the belts for Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon means they’ll be even more productive in 2010. Like always, Dallas Clark provides Manning an outlet and a threat across the middle.
2010 Indianapolis Colts Tickets – The Defense
Larry Coyer heads into his second year as Defensive Coordinator for the Colts. In his first season Coyer began a process of turning his unit into a more aggressive weapon, using a variety of packages and more blitzing. He can do that with Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis both playing at a Pro Bowl level. Coyer added to his line with Jerry Hughes, a defensive end from TCU. Behind them, Gary Brackett and Clint anchor a fast and hard hitting linebacker group. 2nd Round pick Pat Angerer should fit in somewhere. When you hit the secondary one thing becomes obvious: If Bob Sanders is healthy the Colts will be just fine.
