2014 RecapThe Clemson Tigers were successful in 2014, finishing with an overall record of 10-3 and a convincing 40-6 win over Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl. A stumble out of the gate against Georgia and a Week 3 loss at Florida State had the Tigers playing catchup most of the season. It didn’t help to lose their quarterback for the last four games either. Read More...

2015 Preview – The Clemson Tigers will have their star quarterback on the field this season and hopefully they can keep him playing longer. Deshaun Watson is a scary good sophomore coming back after a freshman season that saw him throw for 14 touchdowns and only two interceptions over the course of eight games. His recovery from ACL surgery is complete and opposing defenses will have to deal with his precision passing. Watson won’t be their only worry. The Clemson Tigers return seven starters on offense, including 1,00 yard receiver Mike Williams and his cohort Artavis Scott, who was perhaps the team’s most reliable go to guy in the passing game. Wayne Gallman looks to be the Tigers top back in 2015, after establishing himself as a viable option both on the ground and catching passes out of the backfield.

Brent Venables, Auburn’s Defensive Coordinator, had the #1 squad in the nation by the end of 2014 and he chose to remain at Auburn despite head coaching offers around the country. Venables lost some talent to the NFL though and will have to plug some holes. While most of the players aren’t big names, the Auburn coaching staff feels they could be by the end of the season. Shaq Lawson steps in to provide pass rush while Carlos Watkins fills a tackle spot. Junior Korrin Wiggins is a returning starter at Linebacker, along with Cornerback Mackensie Alexander and safety Jayron Kearse.

2015 Snapshot – The Auburn Tigers get a couple of warmup games before the big test at Louisville in game 3, followed by a home game with Notre Dame in Week 4. If the Tigers win both of those, look out, they’ll be tough to stop in the ACC and their matchup with Florida State in Week 9 will go a long way towards determining where they are in Bowl season.
