2014 Recap – The Baylor Bears amazed the college football world with a dynamic offense, racking up 581 yards and just under 50 points a game. 2015 Preview- Baylor Bears tickets will once again feature some of the best offense in the country. Their record setting offense returns eight starters under Head Coach Art Briles, meaning Baylor will get off to a fast start with experienced players. While Bryce petty was on the field at quarterback in 2014, Seth Russell was waiting in the wings. He’ll get his chance in 2015. Russell brings a new dimension to the Bears offense with his running ability, and while most backups don’t get to see the field much, Russell has seen more than most.

The Bears also have key players back on offense. Russell will have KD Cannon and Corey Coleman playing wide receiver, a pair of proven starters with 1,000 yards each under their belts. On the ground, Baylor will put the ball in the hands of Shock Linwood, who notched 16 touchdowns in his sophomore season while piling up 1,252 yards. Perhaps more importantly, Briles has every starter on his offensive line returning.

The situation is just as solid on defense where the Bears have 9 starters coming back, including Shawn Oakman and the entire defensive line. Baylor is depending on their pass rush to help out a secondary that struggled in 2014, finishing as one of the weaker pass defenses in the country. The coaching staff spent plenty of time on this area in the offseason and the feeling is that Orion Stewart (safety), Ryan Reid and Xavier Howard (cornerbacks), and Terrell Burt (safety), will all be improved after being thrown into the fire in 2014.

2015 Snapshot – The Baylor Bears are a solid team with plenty of talent, especially on offense. To take advantage of that talent, quarterback Seth Russell must start strong and get better down the road. Baylor must also get improved play on defense. When November hits, the Bears will be fighting a tough schedule that includes TCU on the road, as well as Oklahoma State, and the Sooners at home. A Big 12 Title is a possibility if everything goes to plan.
